It’s Tomorrow

Well it has sure come very quick, off to Mozambique tomorrow, already! I am actually pretty much packed which is a change for me! Just a few things to sort tomorrow.

Just had a lovely weekend with Katie, was good to see her and stuff :)

It feels a little weird that i am not going to be back in Oxford for like a month now, and then when we do come back its only a few more months left! Its gone so quick, and i think i am really going to miss it! So it’s a little weird that its the end of the 2nd term already, feels like we have only just started this one!

But yeh anyway, might not get chance to post tomorrow, please keep praying for us as we go! I think our flight is about 8pm tomorrow from Heathrow, 12 hours to South Africa and then over to Mozambique. We gt back on the 15th i think of April (2 weeks on Wednesday)

I will try and post some stuff when i am away, but i have literally no idea if i will even see a computer for 2 weeks, i presume there will be one in the centre, we will see! If not, i will write all when i get home!

I am also going to risk going equipped with no iphone! Which scares me haha! But i am sure i will cope!

So yeh, i will post lots of photos when i get back etc! :)

God Bless

Brooke Fraser

So, i thought i would share my latest musical find. And this is my favorite for a while! A singer/songwriter called Brooke Fraser. She is also one of the Hillsong worship leaders so you may know her name from there! But she has an album of more ‘secular’ songs, though still worship stuff, called Albertine. And its amazing, i defiantly recommend it!

The lyrics are really incredible, some amazing lines and just beautiful ways of expressing things that are said so often!

One song as well called the ‘C.S Lewis song’ obviously includes lots of lines written by C.S Lewis, which i just thought was cool, the opening two lines go…

‘If I find in myself desires nothing in this world can satisfy,
I can only conclude that I was not made for here’

So yeh, if you’re looking for an album to buy, get this! Musically it is also really lovely to listen to :)

Mozambique

So today is Thursday, and on Monday i am off to Mozambique, which is just next to South Africa for those of you who don’t know! It has all come around so quick! Still feels like it’s way into the future! But it’s not!

Basically i would really like to ask that you include me in your prayers over the next couple of weeks. We head out on Monday the 30th March, and get back on Wednesday 15th April.

We are going out to work in an orphanage in Machava while we are there, the 14+ of us are splitting into two teams for the 2 weeks to work in different Centres.

My main worry is health i guess, please pray that the Malaria tablets work!! And that we will all be protected from illness while we are out there.

Please pray also for good flights and stuff, so that we can all arrive stress free, pray for our baggage! Last time i went on a mission trip we lost all of our bags apart from 3! So pray that that does not happen again!!

Most of all please just pray that we will really be able to bless the children out there, we go out knowing that the people out there are probably going to teach us a lot more than we could ever give, but we really want to go out in the aim to bless them too. Please also just pray that we will have so much fun out there too, and will really bring joy to the places we go.

I hope that’s not too much! But i really would appreciate your prayers, we know that spiritual warfare is real, but prayer really works so with that we have no need to worry.

‘If God is for us, who can be against us?’ Romans 8:31

Cheers :)

Sporcle

Well here is my latest interest! http://www.sporcle.com/games/ get on it! Addictive memory games about general knowledge and stuff! But you must do each one with NO help of google, or any other such websites! I haven’t got all of any yet! The countries ones are good! Because you think you know them all, but you quickly realise you don’t!…

Sun

So what a beautiful weekend it has been! Here in Oxford anyway! The sun was shining. And yesterday, i even deemed it appropriate to bring out the shorts for the first time this year! And I’m so glad i did! We went down to Christchurch meadows in the afternoon, with a football in hand! And it was so nice! I couldn’t believe how it was actually so warm, and it all seems to come from no where! 2 weeks ago i was still wearing my ski socks!! Amazing!

Last night was a baptism service, which is always so great to be at, i thought i would have a good view being in the band, hence sitting on the front row, but somehow i managed to pick the chair with a pillar right between me and the baptism pool, thank goodness for the screen that was on the pillar!! But it was so cool to hear every ones testimonies and stuff, really encouraging.

I also played a bit of electric guitar again for the service, which was fun!

Today i may be seeing my mum later :) Which is exciting! We are off to intern worship now, lead by Mark, this has been long awaited as it is the first time he has ever done it after being missed off the rota! So we are all excited!
