The Weekend

This weekend was really nice. Friday night we had our staff Christmas Party, which was cool, 3 course meal in a very nice restaurant, all payed for us by the wonderful PCC :) There was about 50 or so of the staff there, so it was very good fun, really great atmosphere.

On Saturday i saw My family, who came down for the weekend, as well as Katie :) In the evening i went for a meal with Katies Cousins and family which was lovely! One thing which made me laugh, was when we were outside Pizza Express, looking at a photo of Venice on the wall, Jenny, Katie’s 7 year old cousin looked up at us both and said, if you 2 got married, you could go there on your honeymoon!!!

On Sunday i went for a meal with Katie and my family, to Jamie Olivers restaurant, which was very nice! Now i feel like i have eaten too much over this weekend!!

Sunday evening was then the 1st of the Carol’s by Candlelight services. Which was cool, i sang in the Choir, really enjoyed it.

I lead staff worship this morning, which was the last of my real ‘things to do’ this term!!ha! Really looking forward to coming home, seeing family and friends and things. It shall be good :)

Christmas Meals Begin!

Last night we went to Pastorate Christmas Dinner, which was a really good night actually, had a lot of fun with everyone. In my secret Santa i got a bottle of Champagne, which was very nice! :) Though it wasn’t much of a secret anymore when after the guy came up to me and said, by the way watch it when you open that, it fell over!!

On Tuesday also i had a cake for my birthday in staff worship! As we celebrate everyone’s birthday each Tuesday, and due to there being lots of Staff birthdays over Christmas mine was last Tuesday! Which was nice!

Today we are going out for our small group Christmas dinner, and then i’m doing Act who also have a Christmas Dinner, though i think i might have to avoid eating that!!!

Staff Christmas Party tomorrow, which will be nice, free meal and drinks so its all good!! But we are still doing work too, honest!!

This weekend it is the 1st of the 2 Carols by Candlelight Services, (I will only be at one though) So that should be really good, we had the 1st Choir practice the other day, gonna be a big thing, got the usual band set up (drums, bass, acoustic, piano, electric) And then a small Orchestra, and then the 30 piece choir! So should be a good night :) The church already looks beautiful with the tree and stuff, so when its all dark with candles it will look even nicer :p

Also my Family and Katie are here for the weekend too so it will be lovely to see them :)

So yeh, i should have taken a photo of each Christmas meal i will get, and then make an album out of it!! Maybe i will start now!!

It’s starting to feel a bit like Christmas

Well, as Christmas is on the way, i thought you may appreciate a Christmas clip, check this out. No other than Bruce Springsteen… Enjoy!!

X Factor

Well, i had to post on it, loved the show! Some amazing songs! I loved Eoughans (However you spell that) cover of Year 3000, but i think the highlight of the evening had to be Il Divo, singing amazing grace, so beautifully.. Awesome…

Thanksgiving ball

Thought i would put some photos up from last weeks students thanksgiving ball. It was awesome really! there were 4 of us on the doors for the most of the night, so we had our walkie talkies! just for the fun really haha!

The best bit of the evening had to be the toilets! ha which i helped make in the day, they filled them with sweets, newspapers, aftershave, deodrant! (The girls had much more, and fairy lights ha!) But then we had games on the urinals 2 of the urinals had a little ball in, and the other 2 we stuck cones on, which went with this sign which was above it…

After the meal, there was a proper good rock and roll band play, and they hired a bowling alley which went in the centre of church, which was awesome!! Proper loved it!

It was just all so different and cool, and well organised! So much better than any prom or anything I’d ever been to before! :) awesome! This is what the church looked like, got more photos on my flickr, on the right of the page

And the bowling alley…
