Pasta Hut

Is this serious i hear you cry?!

Well, after a day of being confused and intrigued after hearing this news, i thought i may as well share it with the world! Or the part of the world that reads this anyway!!!

It seems to be, that the original idea of Pasta Hut, came about on April the 1st this year, in america, where commercials were used as an april fools, but also at the same time to promote the fact that they actually do pasta!!

But now, the UK seems to have been gullable in hearing this and thought America were being serious! And on the 6th of October launched a campaign, where about 15 or so new pasta dishes were introduced, and started adverts and stuff, basically with the message ‘we love pasta so much we might change our name to it’ striving to obtain a more healthy reputation.

I actually went in today, and they have actually changed all the menu’s and stuff to ‘Pasta Hut’ and it seems to me that they are actually being serious. If you go on the website, now www.pasta-hut.co.uk. You will see there is a box where you can vote if they should stay Pizza Hut or go Pasta Hut! Its all very exciting.

I probably can’t see them actually changing it, i assume they will probably just keep it up for a few months, saying they might change it, which will give them lots of publicity, make them look like they care more for the healthy ones instead of just accomadating the fat! And then they will say something like, well most of you liked it as Pizza Hut, so we want to please you all, but also want to please all the pasta lovers so we will still do all the dishes for you!

Anyway thats my Pizza/Pasta blog! Personally, i would quite like to see them change to Pasta Hut, i just think it would be exciting!!

Chesterfield

This week i have taken my weekend off to come visit my wonderful family and friends back in chesterfield! Which has been really lovely so far :) Had a very nice chineese last night with the family and Katie :)

I am now with Katie :) And we are about to go to Pasta Hut!! Which Katie just told me about! Is Pizza Hut actually becoming Pasta Hut?!!

I Love The King…

Just thought i would share a little thought of something awesome i experienced last night at worship central. But basicically Tim Hughes was leading a new song, which was basically a new little tag section to ‘Here i am to worship’ that basically was the three lines…

‘I love the King and the King loves me,
I love the King and the King loves me,
I love the King and the King, he loves me.’

And while singing these simple but so awesome and real words. My imagination was just filled with the picture of just arriving at heaven, and almost just walking round a corner, and just seeing across a room, Jesus just sat on His throne, but then getting up to come towards me to welcome me in. As this thought just filled my mind, it was almost i could just feel the excitement that was on my face, and it just kind of felt like nothing before, and it was just almost as if it was happening then!

I then kinda linked with the idea or you know when you arrive at an airport, and you come out of arrivals, round the corner, to see with excitement the people you haven’t seen for a few weeks, and just seeing the (Hopefully) excited look on their face. Imagine getting off a plane, and Jesus is waiting in Arrivals for you! How gutted would the people on the plane be that didn’t know him!!ha!

And it just filled my heart the hope and joy so much, knowing that one day it will just come more than a picture in my mind, but its actually gonna happen! How awesome is that gonna be?!!!

Worship Central

Yesterday we hosted the Worship Central team for a day, on their UK tour. Which was really cool actually! They arrived at about midday, on a huge tour bus. And started unloading flight case after flight case! This was after the morning where we had to clear all the music stuff off the stage and stick it all in the cupboard. They arrived with their own PA and everything, and only wanted to use our drum tank.

I was quite amazed actually that within 2 hours they had everything set up, and were already sound checking! They had an Aviom system, which meant that each band member had their own in ears, and their own little mixer in front where they mixed their own mix for their in ears! Which was pretty neat. And also looked so much neater on stage when it wasn’t all cluttered with however many foldbacks!

My funny story of the day! Tim Hughes introduced himself to me, had a bit of a chat. Then at the end, he turned to me and said well good to meet you… Miles? And i was like, not quite, its Gaz!!

So yeh, it was a good night, Steve came down too so that was really cool to just hang out with him n stuff :)

Off back to Chesterfield tomorrow for the weekend, that should be nice!

God bless,
Gaz

John Lennox

Today at Church the guest speaker is Dr John Lennox, whom i am very excited to hear. He recently was part of a big debate with Richard Dawkins on his book the God delusion.

I had the morning off today, as i am off to 2 services this evening, so that was nice just to chill out! This evening i am playing electric guitar at the 6 a clock service, and then i am just going along to the late service to receive, so that will be cool. And John Lennox is doing a different sermon at each so i am really looking forward to that.

I also worked out this morning that i am virtually next door to Topman, all i have to do is cross the road, walk through Marks n Spencers, and then its right next door. Sorted!

Anyway,
Have a blessed Sunday :)
