Baptisms

Last night both evening services were baptisms. With 8 adults getting baptized in all! Which was just so cool! Each one gave their testimony, which was really cool to hear. It was quite incredible to try and understand what some of them had been through in the past.

One guy was from London, basically having grown up from a troubled family he got into a life of crime, he says he got his 1st gun when he was 18. He became a drug dealer just living of things he stole. He moved to Oxford and basically started flooding the streets with drugs, when one night he was meeting a girl outside St Aldates, to sell some drugs to, and she was just going inside for one of the homeless meals, so he went inside to wait for her. At this point he was approached by one of the vergers who started sharing the gospel, and then he prayed for him. And over the next few months he started coming to the things at church, he gave up his previous life and gave his life to Christ!

I love seeing what God can do in peoples lives :)

I’m just about to be off to the daily prayer meeting, then today we are being taught by a couple who work for a similar school of ministry in Canada, so hopefully that’l be good! It’s all a little quieter in the house this week as Steve and Matt are in France for the week, with the youth half term week away thing! Not that it’s very quiet! There’s still 12 of us.
